After numerous delays and postponements, the most anticipated movie of the summer is finally here! Tenet was set to release back in July, but movie theaters had to shutter their doors due to the pandemic. Now with theaters finally opening its doors, Tenet is here to welcome you back to the movies… but is it worth putting on a face mask to go see?
Tenet is the latest sci-fi thriller film written & directed by Christoper Nolan. The film stars John David Washington & Robert Pattinson. Pattinson is set to be the next big action star with this and the upcoming Batman film under his belt. The over the top action cinematics of the trailer are very reminiscent of previous films directed by Nolan, such as Inception. Many believe it to be the 2020 version of Inception, but does it live it up that hype?
The film starts off with a bang! As soon as the movie starts, they get right down to the nitty gritty. Action lovers like myself will be very pleased. This film is loud and the visuals are astonishing. This movie was created to be seen in an IMAX theater and you will feel like you should be watching it in IMAX if you opt to see it in a standard theater setting.
Just like Inception, this is a film that you definitely have to watch more than once to completely grasp it. As I watched this film, I found myself scratching my head trying to figure out what was goin on with the premise. There is some sort of time traveling taking place and lots of dimensional bending action. Tenet will not fail to keep you on the edge of your seats. They did a really great job with the casting and production. John David Washington does a great job as the main protagonist, personally I think this film will be a breakthrough role for him. This is the film that will set him up to follow in the huge theatrical footsteps of his dad, Denzel Washington.
Is Tenet worth seeing in movie theaters? Yes, it is! I can see why they delayed the film instead of just sending it to On Demand. Tenet is Terry McFly Approved and I can’t wait for the chance to see it again. Tenet will have you walking out of the theaters backwards. This is a very unique film and movie goers are in for a treat, which is much needed based off how 2020 has been going so far.
