Review: SLYR XBOX One Gaming Headset
Skullcandy has converted one of their most popular headsets (The SLYR) into an officially licensed headset for the XBOX One gaming console. It just might be one of the best budget console gaming headsets on the market that really gives you bang for your buck. The SLYR gaming headset features audio amplification, very cozy ear cushions, a flip down stashable mic, and a controller mounted mixer.
The SLYR XBOX One edition has been specifically tuned for the XBOX One console. Skullcandy’s Supreme Sound (which provides powerful bass and precise highs) combined with the overall audio enhancement of the EQ3 technology provides the SLYR with a rich and detailed stereo soundfield.
The GMX-1 controller mounted mixer was designed exclusively for the XBOX One. It ensures that the player has game-to-voice balancing, volume control, and a push-button mute without having to put down the controller.
This headset is plug & play so there’s no additional set up needed to get going. Simply take it out the box and plug it into the controller. The audio from the television is not muted when the headset is attached so you will have to manually mute your television if you don’t want the background noise.
I really like the feel and quality of the SLYR XBOX One headset. It’s very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. It’s the best quality XBOX gaming headset you will be able to find for under $100. It packs a high quality punch.
